The journal contains commentaries on Jewish Antiquities as well as a commentary on the Gospel of John. The journal is handwritten in Latin.
Rev. George A. Higgins, S.J. Papers
This collection consists of notes and writings used by Fr. Higgins when he gave retreats as well as his personal retreat notes. There is one folder of clippings, brochures and material collected by him to use during his retreat. Additionally, the collections has two certificates awarded to Fr. Higgins. Both are in Latin.
Rev. Jerome E. Town, S.J. Papers
Rev. Joseph M. F., Marique S.J. Papers
This collection mostly includes correspondence dating from the 1930s through the 1970s. It also contains Fr. Marique’s documentation of “Classical Folia'' and the Leaders of Iberian Christianity. There are a number of Fr. Marique’s personal effects, such as his Daily Missal. Finally, the collection has an oversized certificate belonging to Fr. Marique that is written in Latin.
Rev. Leonard Nota S.J. Philosophy Book
This volume is entitled “Moralis Philosphie sive Ethica et Juris Nature Institutiones.” It consists of handwritten notes by Nota. The volume has 448 pages and includes an index. The text is written in Latin.
Rev. M. J. Coyne Theology Notes
This collection consists of Rev. M. J. Coyne’s notebook from St. Joseph’s Seminary. This handwritten book has 266 pages dating from 1883-1888. Most of the passages of the book are written in Latin. It has a small picture of the seminary. This volume came with other books given to the library by Benjamin Davis.
Rev. William H. Coyle S.J. Autograph Book
This small autograph book contains dated and undated signatures from primarily Jesuits and Novices from the 1880s. Many of the signers wrote messages, approximately half were written in Latin and the other half in English with one in an Asiatic language.
